Services / Organizational Resilience (OR)
Resilience is what gives people the psychological strength to cope with stress and hardship. It is the mental reservoir of strength that people are able to call on in times of major changes to carry them through without falling apart.
Organizational Resilience is the ability of an organization to anticipate, prepare for, respond and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions in order to survive and prosper. The 2020 COVID-19 crisis is negatively influencing our social and business world. Despite the negative effects of this pandemic, there is much to learn about how organizations can use the three fundamental elements of Organizational Resilience, the HOT elements:
Human relates to the alignment between customer expectations and employee engagement. Contemporary organizations are inclusive and consultative, not simply dictating rules to be followed, but encouraging employees in their behaviour to become an integral part of their job and the culture of their organization.
Organization relates to embedding best practice in developing, marketing and manufacturing products and services as a key component of success. Resilient organizations ensure that they ‘do the basics right’ and are consistent through the strength and reliability of their management systems and processes, while still leaving scope for innovation and creativity. Business-critical processes in the management of areas such as QHSE, assets, business continuity and information security (Operational Integrity Management) must be robust and compliant, both within an organization and throughout key parts of its supply chain.
Technology relates, in this context, to whatever product, service or solution an organization brings to market. Organizations must ask themselves which markets they serve. Do its capabilities and products match those markets’ requirements and comply with their regulatory environment and if not, what can it do to adapt them?
SyRiM can determine to what extend your organization is prepared for sudden changes and we will strenghten your resilience by embedding philosophy in your management system.
