QHSE Services

SHE or HES or EHS or HSE… or even better: HSSEQ or QHSSE? All these abbreviations have one thing in common: they refer to the discipline that studies and implements practical aspects of safety at work and protection of the environment. Commonly, quality (quality, assurance and quality control) is applied to the work field of the company department known as QHSE, the abbreviation I normally use. Sometimes security is added.

In simple terms, QHSE is what organisations must do to make sure that their activities do not cause harm to any person by preventing, to an ALARP level (as low as reasonably practicable):

  • people from getting hurt or ill,
  • environmental damage (including minimising the organizational footprint),
  • damage to assets (financial loss),
  • bad reputation, and
  • breach of security.

SyRiM supports organisations in their achieving these prevention objectives by offering them a full range of QHSE services.

These services fit into the framework of an Operational Integrity Management System (OIMS) based on the ISO management system standards for QHSE Management.
